Quick look! Christmas 2011

I know that this is technically a day late, but we just want to wish you all a merry Christmas from Cape Town!  It is our hope that this season is treating you all as well as it is us.  In the spirit of the season, we just want to express how grateful we are for each and every one of you for your prayers and support.

We Celebrated with a 9:30 church service, lunch/dinner with our close friends (our family here) and desserts with our neighbors.  What made it all the more interesting was the 26˚C (79˚F) weather and gentle winds.  As the first of many South African Christmases, We enjoyed spending some time establishing some new traditions and faced the challenge of getting our heads around a warm and sunny Christmas season.

How did you do the Holidays?

    Brian and Ashley –

We had a wonderful Christmas except for the absence of you two. Your extended family enjoyed the opportunity to “Skype” with you both and for a while it was just like you were there. It was quite a picture to see your Gramma and Grampa opening the presents you sent as you watched from the other side of the world. We love your blog and all the ways we can communicate with you. We still miss hugging you both. Merry Christmas.

Hello to the two of you! Good to hear that you are doing well. I can understand the idea of adjusting to the warm Christmas. I always thought it would be hard to go to Hawaii for Christmas as some people have done. It is just not the same feeling that we are so used to. We are enjoying snow for the last couple days and it is beautiful. Thank you for the xmas card. Glad to hear that you received your December gift safely. The pictures of the surrounding area are fun to see. Keep up the good work. You two amaze me. Praying for you.
